Our team recently completed a comprehensive roofing and energy upgrade project in Mannamead, Plymouth. This extensive job combined traditional roof works with modern energy solutions, delivering both enhanced protection and improved efficiency for the property.
The client required a full roofing overhaul to replace aged materials, improve ventilation and weatherproofing, and upgrade drainage. They also wanted to integrate renewable energy into the property with a solar panel installation. The project called for a blend of quality materials, precision installation, and collaboration with specialist partners to deliver a long-lasting and visually appealing result.
We installed new eaves support trays to eliminate sagging of the breathable membrane and improve water flow into the guttering system. This creates a strong, stable roof edge and enhances long-term performance.
Over fascia vents were fitted to promote airflow within the roof space, reducing condensation and helping to protect the roof structure from moisture-related issues.
A high-performance breathable membrane was installed across the roof deck. This allows trapped moisture to escape while keeping water out, extending the life of roofing materials.
Premium Brazilian graphite slate tiles were supplied and expertly installed, giving the roof a sleek, durable finish with excellent weather resistance.
Two RES-TEC Flexitec flat roofing systems were installed, providing a seamless waterproof surface ideal for flat areas of the property. These systems are known for longevity and minimal maintenance.
Lead flashings and details were renewed throughout the roofline to ensure watertight joins and provide robust protection around chimneys, valleys, and penetrations.
A mechanically fixed dry ridge system was added to provide secure ridge capping and improve ventilation at the highest point of the roof without ongoing maintenance.
We fitted new black ogee guttering and downpipes to complement the roofing materials while enhancing rainwater drainage performance.
Working alongside Mole Energy, 14 solar panels were installed to boost the property’s energy efficiency. This installation supports renewable energy generation and long-term savings.
